(WNY News Now) – LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Niagara County Sheriff Michael Filicetti announced the arrest of a Lockport woman on multiple felony drug charges following an investigation by the Niagara County Drug Task Force.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 20-year-old Alana M. Bruning of Lockport was taken into custody on October 2, 2025, at approximately 1:38 p.m. at a residence located on Niagara Street Extension in the Town of Lockport.

Following the investigation, Bruning was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, one count of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Authorities did not release details regarding the type or quantity of drugs involved. The arrest was part of ongoing efforts by the Niagara County Drug Task Force to address illegal narcotics activity within the county.
Bruning was transported to the Niagara County Jail, where she was held pending arraignment in court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
