Molly Breen was caught trying to bring drugs into Creamfields music festival
A woman has been jailed after attempting to smuggle £1,200 worth of drugs into a music festival inside her own body.

Molly Breen had been trying to enter Creamfields music festival in Daresbury on August 25, 2023, when she spoke to an officer at one of the entrances.

At around 4.15pm, Breen admitted to the officer that she had secreted drugs inside her vagina.

These included 15 snap bags and 74 tablets which were found to be MDMA. Altogether the drugs had an estimated value of £1,200.

After removing the drugs, Breen was not allowed to enter the festival and told to attend a police station for an interview.

She would go on to claim that someone else had asked her to take the drugs into the festival.
However, when police analysed her phone they found messages showing that she had bought the drugs from an unknown person several months before the festival.
They did not find any evidence that she had been coerced into smuggling the drugs.
Breen, of Wolston Way, Coventry, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply MDMA, and was jailed for 27 months in a hearing at Chester Court on July 9 2025.
Detective Constable Neil Fleming said: “Breen would have had multiple opportunities to re-think what she was doing.

“Amnesty bins are in place for prohibited items and there is plenty of messaging discouraging people from trying to smuggle in drugs, but despite this, she still chose to go ahead.
“Cheshire Police links in with event organisers and security staff in a bid to prevent illegal drugs getting into the site, for the safety of all those at the festival.
