No Limit rapper Young Bleed dies aged 51
Baton Rouge rapper Young Bleed has reportedly died. The 51-year-old passed away on November 1st following a brain bleed caused by an aneurysm.
The rapper, signed to Master P’s No Limit Records in the 1990s, was hospitalised in Las Vegas last week shortly after performing at ComplexCon.
Bleed (real name Glenn Clifton Jr) was rushed to the ICU and put on a ventilator after suffering from high blood pressure and a heart condition for some time.
His son, Ty’Gee Ramon, took to Instagram to confirm that his father had died over the weekend, paying tribute in a video.
“Rip to the biggest legend I kno…. Young bleed!!!” he wrote in the caption. “Love u Dad so much and will definitely miss u… but imma carry the torch from here I got u #youngbleed #mydad # #myfather @therealyoungbleed I’m glad he went out in style!!!! One time fa the one time.”
The mother of his child, Tameka Long (also known as Madamm Meek), also posted about his passing, writing on Facebook, “Lord help me to take care of me and #YoungBleed 10yr old Prince. Rest In Everlasting Life, we love you.”
Bleed’s mother recently launched a GoFundMe page to pay for his hospital bills. “This was completely unexpected and has turned our world upside down,” she said. “Glenn is receiving critical care and fighting hard, but the road to recovery is uncertain.”
She continued, “The medical bills, hospital stays has become overwhelming. Our family is doing everything we can, but we need your help in anyway possible for medical expenses, and essential support during this difficult time.”
Bleed is best known for his single ‘How Ya Do Dat’ featuring Master P and C-Loc. His debut album, My Balls and My Word, was released in 1998 and reached number 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.
