Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in prison with former NBA star

Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs was transferred to a new prison last week, and he’s already crossed paths with a familiar face.

The Bad Boy rapper moved from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey on October 30th to officially begin his sentence.

Over the weekend, TMZ shared photos of Combs behind bars for the first time since he was arrested in September 2024.

In the images, Combs could be seen chatting and laughing with other inmates in the prison yard during recreation time. On November 3rd, it was revealed that one of the men he was standing with was former NBA star Sebastian Telfair, according to his publicist.

40-year-old Telfair was born in Brooklyn and drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers as the 13th overall pick in the 2004 NBA draft.

The point guard also played for the Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Toronto Raptors, and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Telfair pleaded guilty to fraud charges in 2023 after he was found to have defrauded the NBA’s health and welfare benefit plan of around $4 million. He was sentenced to time served and three years’ probation.

Combs and Telfair are the two most popular celebrities inside the prison, but the sports star only has about three months left on his sentence.

As for Combs, he was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution and sentenced to 50 months in prison. He’s scheduled to be released on May 8th, 2028.
