Chris Brown Was Sued For $50 Million Earlier This Year

Chris Brown is currently on his 11:11 tour and things got ugly during the tour back in July. During their appearance at Fort Worth, a backstage brawl took place between Brown’s entourage and four concertgoers. According to TMZ, Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush, and Da Marcus Powell filed a lawsuit in Harris County, Texas against Brown and his companions.
According to the complaint, Brown and his crew severely beat up the plaintiffs after the singer’s performance. The four plaintiffs were part of a group who were invited backstage to meet Brown. The lawsuit suggested that Bush and Brown previously had some alleged issues and when Bush approached Brown to congratulate him, the singer sent his team after them.
In the latest update, Brown’s attorney released a statement sharing their side of the story. Dallas Attorney Levi G. McCathern shared (via TMZ):
The conflict began when plaintiff Charles Bush, a Dallas personal injury attorney, along with his entourage of uninvited guests, approached Chris Brown and began provoking a reaction. These individuals had a clear agenda when they approached Chris. They were seeking trouble and are directly responsible for the situation that ensued.
The plaintiff’s attorney is Tony Buzbee who is currently representing more than 20 of Diddy’s alleged victims in lawsuits against the rapper. Buzbee is seeking damages worth $50 million from Brown and his team.
