Christina Aguilera continued her Burlesque-coded style streak over the weekend, this time upstaging her bedazzled minidress with an unexpected accessory. As the “Genie in a Bottle” singer posed in a sculptural LBD with a bold asymmetrical neckline, she contrasted her dress’s sky-high hemline with a bag that looked like a life-size gown, complete with an ultra-long train.

In several Instagram photos and videos shared on Saturday, August 9,  Aguilera piled on the sartorial drama with her boudoir-inspired ensemble. The “Dirrty” singer has been serving lingerie-inspired looks in recent weeks, including a lace-up black minidress made completely of black string and a sheer lace jumpsuit that showed off her black bra and panties—and her latest look was no exception. Aguilera’s structured black minidress was embedded with rhinestones and featured a sculptural triangle-shaped detail that jutted out of her neckline, partially obscuring her face. Leaning into the boudoir style memo with black sheer tights and matching opera gloves, Aguilera had fans seeing double as she wore a second dress—this time, in the form of her handbag.

The whimsical black leather shoulder bag was shaped like a plunging halterneck bodice, with a long white chiffon skirt splattered with black paint attached to it. As Aguilera strutted down a hallway and posed in a set of yellow-gold curtains, she showed off her purse’s ultra-long train, which trailed several feet behind her.

Aguilera leaned into a gothic beauty moment, styling her platinum blonde hair in a pushed-black sleek style and accentuating her features with a dual-toned nearly black dark cherry lipstick, smoky eyeshadow, and sculpted cheeks.
