
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKRC) — A Kentucky woman was taken into custody after she allegedly shot her partner during an argument.
According to WLKY, 25-year-old Maria Swann was arrested after she allegedly shot her partner during a verbal argument.
The outlet’s report states that authorities in Louisville responded to multiple reports of a shooting at around 8:40 p.m. on Friday.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the victim, identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as 27-year-old Isaiah Washington, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to WAVE.
It was determined that the victim had died at the scene, the reports said.
Authorities said Swann opened fire on Washington during a verbal altercation, with court documents reviewed by WLKY stating that the suspect admitted to firing the weapon in the direction of her partner that night, WLKY reported.
They were in a relationship and living together at the time of the fatal incident, the stations reported.
