Julia Roberts Makes Rare Comments About Her 3 Kids With Husband Danny Moder

Julia Roberts recently appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert—and gave fans a rare look into her life outside of Hollywood.

Roberts, who is now an empty nester, told Colbert during her appearance on October 1, “It’s all fun. Honestly it is all so delicious and my kids… I know everyone thinks their kids are great… well, I think my kids are great.”

The Pretty Woman actress shares twins, Hazel and Phineas, 20, and her youngest Henry, 18, with her longtime husband Danny Moder.

While the star normally keeps her family life private, she shared rare insight into her relationship with her kids. “I just love hanging out with them and spending time with them and fortunately we have had lots of visits along the way of this emptiness,” she said.

For the talk show appearance, she wore a suit that paid tribute to her iconic look from the Golden Globes in 1990, where she wore a men’s Armani suit at the award show.

Roberts and Moder’s family has always lived a relatively quiet life out of the spotlight. Roberts recently shared in an interview with 72 Magazine on September 10 that the couple was considered to be strict parents because of the stability and privacy they fostered for their kids.

“I think they were, for sure, some of the last kids in their peer groups to get phones and stuff like that. When they were younger, certainly, Danny and I would have been considered some of the stricter parents,” she said, “Not like we’re laying down the law, but these are the rules and they don’t change. Here’s the boundary of your life and it does not shift.”

The Notting Hill star continued, “I think that is what creates the stability that then allows them to feel secure because you know there is this fixed world of love and safety that exists unconditionally.”

Roberts and Moder started dating in 2000, after meeting on the set of the film, The Mexican. Two years later, they got married at her Taos, New Mexico ranch. They gave birth to their twins in 2004, and their youngest son in 2007.
