Julia Roberts Celebrates Twins Hazel and Phinnaeus’ 21st Birthday with Rare Photo: ‘That Was Fast’

Julia Roberts’ twins are 21!

On Friday, Nov. 28, the Oscar winner, 58, shared a throwback photo on Instagram of her daughter Hazel and son Phinnaeus in celebration of their 21st birthday.

“These game changers, life alterers, [heart] expanders once were 1 and now are 21! That was fast,” the After the Hunt actress wrote in the caption. “Happy Birthday my Dears.”

Actress Ali Wentworth shared in the festivities, writing in the comments, “Happy Birthday to the best!”

Roberts shares the twins with husband and cinematographer Danny Moder. The Pretty Woman star and Moder, 56, are also parents to son Henry, 18.

In October, Roberts opened up on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert about how her three kids have all officially moved out of the house.

“It’s all fun, honestly,” she said. “It’s also delicious. My kids — I know everyone thinks their kids are great, well… I think my kids are great.”

“I love hanging out with them and spending time with them,” Roberts continued. “Fortunately, we have had lots of visits along the way of this empty nest.”

That same month, the actress told PEOPLE about what she wants to do now that she’s an empty-nester.

“I think I’d like to do another play,” she said. “Now that my kids are out of the house, I think that I could devote that kind of laser focus again to something like that because [that’s] such a different kind of commitment to make than a film.”

In May, Moder, who has been married to Roberts since 2002, shared a rare photo of his wife and their children on Instagram in recognition of Mother’s Day. In the photo, Roberts sat in the middle of the three as they all looked at the camera with bright smiles.

“Mothers make the coolest stuff,” Moder wrote in the caption. “Love these guys.”
