Christina Aguilera amazed fans with her high level of professionalism, literally as the pop icon stars in an upcoming holiday concert film.
The “Genie in a Bottle” hitmaker shared behind-the-scenes moments during the filming of Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris, directed by Sam Wrench, who also directed Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour and Billie Eilish: Live at the O2.
In an Instagram update, the 44-year-old, who looked stunning in a holiday-themed red off-shoulder ball gown and sparkly diamond accessories, rode the elevator to reach the summit.
“….when you’re terrified of heights but you have to sing on top of the Eiffel Tower. It was still magical,” the caption reads.
The short clip featured Aguilera trying to calm herself as the elevator soared past 400 feet.
“You were born to do this!! You were born to do this!!” she told herself while laughing nervously.
As they reached over 600 feet, the music sensation hinted at her fear of heights and revealed, “I don’t even do Ferris Wheels because of this.”
She also candidly mentioned feeling her “ears popping” due to the pressure.
As their journey to the peak continued, a staff member remarked, “Oh, that’s not normal,” prompting the singer to jokingly admit she felt terrified.
After a tense elevator ride and a lot of nervous laughter, Aguilera and her team reached 906 feet and were able to successfully film parts of the Christmas special.
Comments poured in from friends and fans, celebrating her professionalism in the face of such a daunting challenge.
“You’re SO real for this girl,” The Consultant actress Sloane Avery said.
“Girlll, you’re a superwoman, you can do anything!!” another added.
“Thank you for doing this!! I bet it was worth it and that we will love your performance,” a follower remarked.
Others even mentioned how they were thrilled to see the upcoming concert film.
“I can’t wait for the film… We need that BS,” one noted.
The same goes for E! News, which commented, “so excited for the film!”
Christina Aguilera: Christmas in Paris is a holiday concert special in honor of the 25th anniversary since the release of her holiday album My Kind of Christmas.
It will be a limited theatrical release set on Dec. 14 and Dec. 21.
Describing it as a “celebration,” the reason they chose Paris as the location was because of the city’s vibe during the Yuletide season.
“Paris at Christmas has a magic all of its own,” she told PEOPLE, adding, “There’s something so poetic about celebrating this milestone here — in a city that feels like pure inspiration.”
Among the tracks included are The Sound of Music‘s “My Favorite Things” and several other holiday classics and hits.
