Kids found in ‘drug house’ shut down by Crittenden County deputies
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A felon was arrested on Thursday for possessing drugs and endangering children in a Crittenden County home, according to the sheriff’s department.
Michael Dale Odom, 38 was arrested in the 300 block of South Worthington on charges of selling fentanyl and methamphetamines.
Deputies posted a sign outside the house that said “drug house closed for business.”

The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Dept. said they seized drugs, drug paraphernalia, cash, a firearm with ammunition, and a truck that Odom allegedly sold drugs out of.
According to CCSD, there were also children inside the home, and after the search, he was found to be a convicted felon.

After the search of the house, Odom was charged with possession of drugs with the purpose to deliver, delivery of meth or cocaine, two counts of possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering the welfare of a minor, offenses relating to records, and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
According to one of Odom’s neighbors, the drug bust was a complete surprise to her.
“Actually, I haven’t seen anything. The people haven’t lived there long. Maybe a month, six weeks at the most. In fact, I don’t even know who they are or where they came from,” said Pat Dunston.
Another resident was upset after learning that kids were involved and present at the house.
“It’s really unsafe for kids, being around that type of stuff, cause they probably could end up taking something by accident,” the neighbor stated.
Though the “drug house closed for business” sign has been removed, what happened there will make Dunston keep a closer eye on her neighborhood.
“Absolutely. I’ve lived here 20, 27, 28 years, and a lot of these homes are rental properties, so they come and go real fast,” she said.
