Cambridgeshire Constabulary said Jackson Kyeremeh, 38, was spotted carrying out a suspected drug deal by officers on patrol in Woodston, Peterborough, on 16 June.
“Kyeremeh, of Whinfell Close, Eaton Socon, St Neots, made off from officers but dropped 15 wraps of crack cocaine and four wraps of heroin as he fled,” a force spokesperson explained.
“The following day, officers visited Kyeremeh’s partner’s home after seeing his car parked outside.
“As they did so, they saw Kyeremeh throw another package of drugs from a first-floor rear window.”
Kyeremeh was arrested, and on Thursday (18 December) at Peterborough Crown Court, police said he was jailed for two years and four months after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin.
Det Sgt Jacob Tustin-Reeves said: “Kyeremeh initially denied being concerned in supplying these class A drugs but changed his plea in the face of the overwhelming evidence.
“Drug addictions ruin lives, as well as being associated with other crimes such as violence and anti-social behaviour. We will continue to do all we can to identify those involved in supplying these substances and bring them before the courts.”
