Almost 10 kg of methamphetamine was seized during a traffic stop in Llano County on Sunday, the county sheriff’s office said.
A trooper with the Texas Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle on State Highway 29 at 1:13 a.m. Sunday, LCSO said on social media. During the stop, the trooper “observed what appeared to be large quantities of methamphetamine in the rear seat of the vehicle.”
Approximately 9.69 kg of meth was seized, along with 1.22 kg of an unknown substance, drug paraphernalia, a loaded firearm and about $6,000 in cash. The driver was arrested on scene.
“Thanks to the teamwork between agencies, a large amount of illegal drugs was removed from our community,” LCSO said. “We appreciate the continued support and dedication of the Texas Highway Patrol and our Llano County Sheriff’s deputies as we work together to keep Llano County safe.”
