The 16-time Grammy winner is set to further cement his status as one of the all-time great pop stars with his long-awaited LP.

After a decade-long gap between solo records, Bruno Mars is back with a new full-length album, titled The Romantic, set for release on Feb. 27, and its lead single is scheduled for release on Friday.
The news of the multi-platinum, multiple Grammy-winning pop superstar’s latest release was announced on his Instagram account on Wednesday.
“New music this Friday 🫂The Romantic coming 2.27 🌹♥️, “ the singer wrote.
While a Valentine’s Day release may seem more fitting for an album with such a title, Mars has only just now completed recording on his new LP, a follow-up to 2016’s 24K Magic. On Monday, the singer, who was born Peter Gene Hernandez, posted on X.com to his followers about the forthcoming work.
“My album is done,” the singer wrote on the social media platform.
According to a recent report in Hits, Mars worked with his longtime collaborator Philip Lawrence on The Romantic, and there are no featured artists on the album.
While a solo Bruno Mars album has been a long time coming, the Hawaii-born pop icon hasn’t shied away from the limelight, filling the years with notable and award-winning collaborations. His Silk Sonic project with Anderson. Paak produced the band’s 2021 album, which featured smash hits “Leave the Door Open” and “Smokin Out the Window,” paving the way for multiple Grammy wins for the artists. And in 2025, Mars’ duet with Lady Gaga, “Die with a Smile,” topped the Billboard Hot 100; the song went on to win the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance that year. His Rosé collaboration “APT” was one of the biggest songs in the world last year and is up for record and song of the year.
Mars has been a pop juggernaut since he hit the scene, selling over 150 million records globally, making him one of the best-selling artists of all time. He has nine Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles, 16 Grammy Awards and established a popular residency at Las Vegas’ Dolby Park at MGM Live. His most recent “24K Magic World Tour,” which took place from 2017–2018, is one of the highest-grossing tours of all time.
