A Life-or-Death Moment by the Gate
The journey begins with a tiny dog named Saharok (meaning “Little Sugar”), who was found in a truly dire state. Abandoned and shivering, he was discovered curled up like a small white ball in the corner of a gate, exhausted and fading as the cold closed in. By the time the rescuers reached him, Saharok was so weak that he could barely move; he could only whimper as his internal light seemed to be flickering out.
The Great “Unveiling”: Removing the Matted Fur
The biggest challenge for the rescuers wasn’t just Saharok’s frailty, but his coat. After a long time surviving on the streets, his fur had become so severely matted that it formed hard, heavy clumps—described by the rescuers as being like “hooves”—that completely encased his tiny body.
