This past Saturday, one of our sonographers received a text at 4am from a mom saying she had given birth to her baby girl at home in her bathtub while her two other children were sleeping. She said that she started feeling sharp pain in her back, and so she filled up her tub to see if it would help alleviate her pain.

Instead, this mom – who was only 34 weeks along –felt the need to push, and after about 10 minutes, her baby was born. By the time the paramedics arrived, the baby had been out for about 15 – 20 minutes!

Mom and baby were transported to the hospital early Saturday morning. The baby weighed 4lbs 5oz and is in the NICU, but continues to grow and gain strength!

The mom, who was very abortion-minded when she first came to us, was not prepared to deliver this early, and she didn’t even know she was having a girl. She doesn’t have any contact with her family, and the father of the baby is not in the picture. She is doing everything alone and needs some extra help as she prepares to take this sweet girl home.
