An autism therapist working at a clinic in Milton, Ont., has been charged after allegedly assaulting children during their sessions.

In a release on Wednesday, Halton police said an investigation was launched after they received a complaint involving a therapist working at an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), Speech and Occupational clinic.

The alleged offences occurred during therapy sessions at Spectacokids, located on Bronte Street South near Derry Road West.

Police said two victims were identified during the investigation, and both victims are children with autism who were alone with the accused at the time of the offences.

Muaz Sarfraz, 25, of Mississauga, was arrested on Feb. 24, and has been charged with six counts of assault, one count of assault with a weapon, and one count of assault causing bodily harm.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and anyone with additional information is asked to contact police at 905-825-4777, ext. 8970.
