A Cry from Beneath the Earth
It all began when a young boy overheard whimpering coming from a deserted sewer pipe near a lonely road. Looking down, the boy broke into tears at the heartbreaking sight: a small puppy lying exhausted in the filthy water. His parents immediately contacted animal rescuers to seek help.
When the rescue team arrived, they were stunned. Bruno hadn’t simply fallen in. His body was tightly bound with ropes—a clear sign that human hands had intentionally harmed him and cast him away. Bruno was shivering, in agony, and on the brink of collapse.
Moments of Fighting for Life
Rescuing Bruno was a delicate task. Every time he was touched, the puppy shrieked in pain, leading rescuers to fear he had suffered broken bones or severe internal trauma. After being pulled to the surface and given water, Bruno instinctively tried to flee, but his battered body and the restrictive ropes held him back.
At the veterinary clinic, doctors diagnosed Bruno with a traumatic brain injury caused by a blunt object, severe dehydration, and a body infested with parasites. Fortunately, immediate surgery wasn’t required; instead, he began a long road of recovery through medication and IV fluids.
The Extraordinary Will of a “Warrior”
Despite the immense physical and emotional trauma, Bruno displayed a fierce will to live. He began eating heartily, as if he had never tasted a proper meal in his life. Day by day, Bruno’s condition improved.
However, the brain injury made his path to walking again incredibly difficult:

The perseverance of the rescue team and Bruno’s own grit created a miracle. Once a bag of bones shivering in a sewer, Bruno is now healthy with a thick, glossy coat and, most importantly, a bright smile that never fades.

After five months of treatment and rehabilitation, Bruno is no longer a “victim” of cruelty. He is ready for a new life—shopping, running, and feeling the love he truly deserves.
