footage showed Thomas shoving a 7-year-old child with autism, causing the student to fall to the floor. Court filings also state that Thomas shoved the same child into a closet and blocked the exit. When the child attempted to crawl out, Thomas shoved the child back inside.
Later that same day, investigators say Thomas approached a 5-year-old child and pulled the student by the arm for approximately 40 feet.
Court records also detail an incident involving Calhoun that occurred shortly after the incident involving Thomas. Calhoun is accused of pulling a 7-year-old autistic child off a scooter and shoving the student to the ground. Calhoun is facing one misdemeanor assault charge and her case remains pending.
Thomas is scheduled to appear in Division 33 for a possible plea hearing at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
