Some unexpected encounters completely change the fate of a tiny soul. The story of a newborn puppy weighing less than 200 grams, abandoned in sub-zero temperatures, is a magical journey of compassion and perseverance.
1. A Cry from a Cardboard Box in the Dump
While passing by a landfill, a rescue team accidentally heard faint cries coming from a small cardboard box. When they opened it, they were shocked to find a tiny puppy only 2 or 3 days old, eyes still closed and unable to walk.
In the harsh -2°C weather, the tiny pup was shivering from the freezing cold, doing nothing but crying out in desperation for its mother. Immediately, the pup was rushed home to begin the fight for its life.
2. The Early Days of Specialized Care
Because the puppy was so young, caring for it required extreme precision. The rescuers had to set alarms to bottle-feed the pup every 2 hours, even throughout the night, following a veterinarian’s advice.
Since they couldn’t find a nursing bottle small enough for such a tiny newborn, they improvised a custom feeder to ensure the pup wouldn’t choke. Every drop of warm milk helped the puppy gradually regain its strength and body heat. Beyond feeding, they used warm compresses on its belly to aid digestion and help it feel safe, as if its mother were nearby.
3. A Miraculous Transformation After 10 Days
After just 4 days, the puppy’s weight increased to 244 grams, and it began crawling around its bed. By the 10th day, a major milestone arrived: the puppy slowly opened its eyes and began to see the world.
Though its breed was initially unclear, based on its appearance, the rescue team predicted it was a Poodle. The pup was treated to a new bed, toys, and even tiny outfits handmade from socks to keep it warm.
4. Six Months Later: An Irreplaceable Family Member
Time flew by, and the once-fragile pup reached nearly 1kg after 40 days, running and jumping everywhere. Now, after 6 months, that tiny puppy has grown into a mature Poodle weighing 3.8kg, with a long, silky coat like a “cotton ball”.
