In honor of World Autism Month this April, Abbey Romeo—star of Love on the Spectrum and an Autism Speaks Team 20 member—lit the Empire State Building in a vibrant spectrum of colors on behalf of Autism Speaks, celebrating individuals with autism around the world.
The lighting ceremony took place on April 1, officially kicking off the month and welcoming Abbey alongside her mother, Christine Romeo, and Autism Speaks President and CEO Keith Wargo. Together with members of the autistic community, they flipped the switch to symbolize a shared commitment to greater understanding, acceptance, and opportunity.
