Sydney Sweeney will not appear in The Devil Wears Prada 2.
The Christy star, 28, filmed a scene for the highly anticipated movie sequel that was ultimately cut, according to Entertainment Weekly.
A source told the outlet that Sweeney filmed a scene that would’ve occurred toward the beginning of the movie, but it was cut because of a “creative decision.”

Per EW, the actress was supposed to play herself as a celebrity client for Emily Blunt’s Dior executive character, Emily Charlton.
PEOPLE can confirm that Sweeney does not appear in the movie.
Disney, the parent company of distributor 20th Century Studios, did not respond for comment.
Last August, photos and videos showed Sweeney exiting a trailer on the set of the sequel with Blunt.
Writer Aline Brosh McKenna denied that the Euphoria actress was in the movie in a ScreenRant interview published on Sunday, April 19.

When asked about Sweeney being seen on set, McKenna said, “There were a lot of photos from the set of various people. And then there were those memes, where it was like, ‘So-and-so is in the movie. So- and-so is in the movie.’ It became a running joke about who people had seen on set and were in the movie.”
She refused to answer the follow-up question about whether Sweeney was originally in the movie, instead saying, “Well, you saw the movie. She’s not in the movie.”
The sequel comes about 20 years after the original movie and sees Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Blunt and Stanley Tucci reprising their roles. Director David Frankel and McKenna also return.
New cast members include Kenneth Branagh, Simone Ashley, Justin Theroux, Lucy Liu, Patrick Brammall, Caleb Hearon, Helen J. Shen, Pauline Chalamet, B.J. Novak and Conrad Ricamora.

Hathaway was recently named PEOPLE’s World’s Most Beautiful cover star.
She recalled making the 2006 movie, saying, “I loved making the first. I know I was stressed and anxious and all those things, but it’s one of the most hilarious experiences ever because of the people I was with.”
