Fans are enjoying Burlesque all over again, as Christina Aguilera and Cher‘s 2010 movie has received a highly-anticipated on-stage interpretation and is currently showing at the Savoy Theater in London.

And the “Lady Marmalade” singer, who played the role of Ali (Alice Marylin Rose, to use her full name) in the movie and is now an executive producer for the musical, recently attended a photocall to promote Burlesque: The Musical in London, in an outfit that, let’s just say, seemed to divide the internet…

Christina Aguilera Wears Vintage Versace Corset Gown For ‘Burlesque: The Musical’ Photocall

For the photocall that took place on Monday, July 21st, the “Dirrty” singer, 44, flaunted her slim physique in a vintage green Versace ribbon corset gown with an asymmetric hem, teamed with fierce black over-the-knee heeled leather boots. Check out a pic here.

The dress is almost as iconic as the “Can’t Hold Us Down” singer herself, as it hails from the Fall 2003 collection and was even worn by Aguilera in an ad campaign for the Italian fashion house at the time. It has been worn by a number of different A-listers over the years, including Beyoncé at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards and Rita Ora at The Weeknd’s 2020 New Year’s Eve bash, among others.

The “Pa Mi Muchachas” singer styled the dress with straight, center-parted platinum blonde hair, and went full gothic glam with black lip liner, deep purple lipstick, sparkly eyeshadow, and bold pink-purple blush.

Some people on social media thought she absolutely slayed, while others weren’t feeling it! “We’re obsessed,” wrote the E! Entertainment Instagram account, followed by the star eyes emoji. “SHE IS THE MOMENT! We love you Queen Xtina,” raved a second, followed by three red heart emojis.

“Get it girl. You look freaking fantastic and you have one of the best voices ever. Love your music but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched Burlesque because of you,” praised a third. “Fashion icon,” gushed a fourth, as a fifth concurred: “Iconic.” “The hair and dress = she’s referencing herself from her 2003 Versace campaign where she had similar hair,” observed a sixth fan.

“Why did her makeup and hair stylist do this to her?” asked one fan who didn’t like the look on an E! News Instagram video. “Yes it’s a very harsh look,” replied a second, as a third thought: “Makes her look older & tired.” “She has never been good at hiring the right hair and makeup people,” slammed a fourth, as a fifth echoed: “Her makeup and hair somehow stuck in 2000’s… she’s pretty but, she gotta change her team.”

“I just know her hair & makeup stylist hate her,” thought a sixth. “Fire the glam team… they did our girl DIRRRTY!?” wrote a seventh, as an eighth slammed: “Her makeup artists and hair stylist should be fired for doing this to her. This look makes her look old and we know she be looking great these days.”

“What is happening here lipstick is absolutely horrendous,” criticized a ninth fan, as a tenth said: “This is actually super scary and unsettling.” Many others were concerned for the health of Xtina’s hair, with another fan saying: “Her hair is SCREAMING for a really deep conditioner.”
