This video documents the heart-wrenching yet inspiring journey of a Labrador puppy who was abandoned while battling a life-threatening virus, weighing only 3.3kg.

1. A Desperate Encounter
Fubo was discovered shivering against a wall, covered in dirt with discharge leaking from his mouth. He looked like an abandoned ragdoll waiting for the end. Despite the grim outlook, his rescuer couldn’t bear to let him die alone and rushed him to the hospital, clinging to a sliver of hope.
2. The Battle Against Parvovirus
Upon admission, Fubo’s condition worsened with frequent vomiting, bloody diarrhea, and a high fever. Tests confirmed he was suffering from Parvovirus, a deadly disease for puppies. His white blood cell count dropped to an alarmingly low level, requiring 24-hour intravenous fluids to sustain his strength.
3. Days of Grueling Treatment
Fubo went two consecutive days without eating, leaving his belly hollow and frail. His rescuer had to use a syringe to feed him 60ml of liquid food at a time. At one point, the infection grew more severe, accompanied by hypoglycemia and severe anemia, leading to an emergency transfer to a more specialized hospital.
4. Recovery and Rebuilding Trust
After days of intensive care and medication, Fubo reached a turning point:
-
Appetite Returns: He began to show an interest in food again, eventually eating entire bowls in one go.
-
Bonding: Fubo became extremely attached to his rescuer, following them everywhere and gently rubbing his head against their palm.
-
Playfulness: Once his energy returned, he no longer wanted to be caged and began showing his “destructive skills”—a joyful sign of a healthy puppy.
5. A Happy New Life
The rescuer named him Fubo. Within half a month, his belly became round and full, and he was healthy enough for vaccinations. He now enjoys trips to the beach and has developed a quirky obsession with slippers. From the brink of death, Fubo has transformed into a cherished and happy family member.
