UPDATE: The alert has been canceled, and police say Beard was found safe.

A Golden Alert has been issued for a missing 31-year-old with autism.

According to Louisville Metro police, Eric Beard, 31, was last seen around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.

Beard was last seen leaving his home in the 800 block of S 31st Street, which is in the Parkland neighborhood.

Police said he has autism and may be unable to communicate.

He is described as 6 feet, 2 inches tall and 180 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black and gray hoodie, blue jeans and black Nike tennis shoes.
