CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A pillow made for babies was recalled due to falling and entrapment hazards after an infant reportedly died in connection to the product.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a safety warning for Fasando-branded baby loungers sold on Amazon after it was notified of an incident in which a 2-month-old was found unresponsive after using the product.

Upon further inspection of the products, the CPSC determined “they violate the mandatory standard forInfant Sleep Products,” the recall said.

“The sides are too low to contain an infant and the enclosed openings at the foot of the loungers are wider than allowed, posing fall and entrapment hazards. Also, the baby loungers do not have a stand, posing a fall hazard if used on elevated surfaces.”

The loungers were manufactured by Qiyangshiqiguangyuekejiyouxiangongsi under the name Fasando, and came in multiple colors:

Customers who purchased the product were advised to immediately stop using them, “remove the foam padding, cut the cover in half and dispose of the cover and padding,” and to not sell or give away the loungers.
