Actor Julia Roberts received a standing ovation at the Golden Globes 2026. She acknowledged and thanked everyone who cheered for her as she came on the dice at the awards ceremony.
While expressing her gratitude, Roberts said, “Thank you. Everybody, let’s go in the back, come on, come on, thank you.” Actors Jenifer Lawrence, Ethan Hawke, Mark Ruffalo and others were seen smiling and clapping, while the 58-year-old looked delighted.
Apart from Roberts, Priyanka Chopra, Mila Kunis, Pamela Anderson, Orlando Bloom, Miley Cyrus, Kyra Sedgwick, Lalisa Manobal, Luke Grimes, Macaulay Culkin, Marlon Wayans, Melissa McCarthy, Miley Cyrus, Minnie Driver, Orlando Bloom, Pamela Anderson, Queen Latifah, Regina Hall, Sean Hayes, Snoop Dogg, Wanda Sykes, Will Arnett and Zo Kravitz were also the presenters at the event.
The 83rd Golden Globes concluded with with Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet and The Pitt dominating the night. Hamnet claimed Best Picture, while The Pitt secured the award for Best Drama. The award for Best Picture was presented by actor Paul Mescal and director Ryan Coogler. The awards ceremony was held at The Beverly Hilton, Beverly Hills, California, United States.
Roberts was last seen in director Luca Guadagnino’s psycholoigcal-thriller, After The Hunt, featuring Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloe Sevigny in pivotal characters. In the film, Roberts plays a university professor whose life spirals into ethical complexity when one of her students (Edebiri) accuses a colleague (Garfield) of misconduct. As she navigates the professional minefield of academia, a long-buried secret from her own past threatens to resurface, forcing her to confront the limits of integrity, loyalty, and self-preservation.
