Sharon Osbourne has revealed her husband Ozzy’s poignant final ever words to her as she recounted the heartbreaking details from the day he died for the first time.

Speaking with Piers Morgan on his Uncensored show the grieving star, 73, gave an unflinching account of what happened.

Black Sabbath legend Ozzy died of heart failure at his Buckinghamshire home on July 22, just two weeks after performing a farewell concert with his bandmates at Birmingham‘s Villa Park.

Now, The Sun reports in their first look at the interview with Piers that his final words to her on that day were: ‘Kiss me. Hug me tight.’

She told how on the fateful day he had woken at 4am and just 20 minutes later he was dead.

Sharon was left screaming after finding him slumped over in the gym at their house after he had decided to have an early morning workout despite his ill health at the time – including previous battles with pneumonia and sepsis.

After she heard yelling she ran to the gym – where he normally used a cross-trainer for up to 90 minutes a day.

Sharon said in the interview: ‘He had a heart attack. I ran downstairs, and there he was, and they were trying to resuscitate him, and I’m like, ‘Don’t — just leave him. Leave him. You can’t. He’s gone’.

‘I knew instantly he’d gone. And they tried and tried, and then they took him by helicopter to the hospital and they tried, and it’s like, “He’s gone. Just leave him”.’

Before he had headed to the gym Sharon said he had been up and down all night in the bathroom and when it was around 4.30am he said to her ‘wake up’ before she told him that he had already actually woken her up.

Then she says he told her: ‘And he said, “Kiss me. Hug me tight”.’

He then went downstairs to the gym for his workout and within 20 minutes he was gone.

In the chat she also told how Ozzy knew that he was near the end of his life and that a doctor had told him if he did his planned final show he ‘wouldn’t get through it’ – but he insisted on going ahead anyway.

She also insisted she will never get married again after the loss, tearfully saying: ‘That’s it for now’.

Meanwhile Kelly wrote in her separate tribute: ‘Happy birthday I miss you daddy! I love you more than life itself!’, along with a selection of snaps with him when she was a child.

In another Instagram post she shared snaps at the floral display area in Birmingham and said: ‘Happy birthday daddy you most certainly did not die an ordinary man! Life without you is hard but not a day goes by that I don’t dedicate my life to loving you and your legacy!
