HARDIN COUNTY — A Kountze man is behind bars after authorities discovered weapons and drugs during a search warrant execution late last night.
Hardin County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators conducted the search near the 3100 block of Shadow Drive, targeting a portable building used as a makeshift residence.
Brandon Kierre Haynes, 47, a convicted felon wanted by Texas Pardons and Paroles for a parole violation, was arrested at the scene.
During the search, investigators found Haynes in possession of two firearms, including one reported stolen from Harris County, nearly a pound of methamphetamine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and a large sum of cash.
Haynes is currently held in the Hardin County Jail with a no-bond status for the parole violation. He faces additional charges with bonds totaling $122,000 for multiple offenses: manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance PG 1 (methamphetamine and crack cocaine), unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, theft of a firearm, and possession of marijuana.
