MAIDEN, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man accused of trafficking cocaine is being held without bond, according to the Maiden Police Department.
On Friday, Jan 2, Maiden Police officers carried out a search warrant with the help of Hickory Police and Catawba County Sheriff’s investigators for a home on Clemons Avenue.
Authorities say they found 2.28 ounces of cocaine, a loaded 9mm pistol and $1,975 US currency. Kelly Lawrence McClain, 44, and charged with the following:
- Trafficking Cocaine
- Possession of Firearm by Felon
- Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled Substance
- Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana
McClain is being held without bond awaiting a court hearing on Monday, Jan 5.
