TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – A man was arrested for drug trafficking and possession early Tuesday morning after allegedly failing to comply with officers and leading police on a short chase, according to Toledo Police records.

According to court records, on March 5 around 4:40 a.m., Toledo Police found Aidan McGee asleep in a brown Honda in the 2400 block of Valentine St. Officers woke him up and requested he exit the vehicle. McGee refused, drove off and police chased his vehicle for a short distance before it went off the road and crashed into a wooded area.

Court documents allege McGee was in possession of multiple bags containing Ecstasy and the amount was more than 50x bulk but less than 100x bulk. He was also found to be in possession of cocaine.

McGee was arrested and charged with several counts of possession and trafficking drugs, failure to comply and other misdemeanors.

TPD says McGee is employed by the City of Toledo Water Department. A statement from a city spokesperson Tuesday afternoon says there is no record of McGee being a City of Toledo employee. The spokesperson said he may have misrepresented himself to police.
