Missing Warren Co. child found

PLANO, Ky. (WBKO) – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office was searching for a missing child with autism.
Just before 11 p.m. Thursday evening, the sheriff’s office posted on social media that they were looking for a 14-year-old boy.
They say they were searching the Collett Road area in Plano.
Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower said multiple agencies including Kentucky State Police and volunteer firefighters helped search for the boy.
An Ian Alert was issued just before midnight. According to the sheriff, KSP is the agency that issues the alert and certain criteria need to be met in order for one to be issued.
An Ian Alert notifies the public when a child with autism or other disabilities goes missing and could be in danger.

According to the sheriff’s office, the child returned home safe later that night.
WCSO thanked the community for their assistance.
Anyone who had seen the boy was asked to contact WCSO immediately at (270) 842-1633.
