NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — An autistic marriage and family therapist from Farmington is using his own life experiences and professional expertise to help others with autism navigate various aspects of life.

Alex Agostini said he noticed he wasn’t quite like the other kids in late elementary school, but took his time getting a proper autism diagnosis. He said he noticed that therapists who ran into individuals with autism spectrum disorder had a hard time connecting and understanding how their brains operate, and he wanted to help make a difference.
