— April is Autism Awareness Month. Transitions, a program of The Arc Lexington, is focused on building academic, career and life skills for young adults with autism and other learning differences.
Sam Fisher is a great example of what’s possible with the help of the program. He earned his bachelor’s degree through Adelphi University’s Bridges program, continued with Transitions to build the next-level skills he needed for independence and graduate school, and has now been accepted into a master’s program at the University at Albany.
