ST. Island Boys rapper arrested again after fentanyl found during traffic stop in Florida

NAPLES, Fla. (CBS12) — Frank Venegas, better known as one half of the viral “Island Boys” duo, was arrested on New Year’s Eve after Collier County deputies said they discovered fentanyl-laced paraphernalia during a traffic stop—while he was still out on bond for a previous gun and drug case.

According to the probable cause affidavit, the stop occurred on December 31, when a black Mercedes-Benz failed to stop at a crosswalk near State Road 29 and Kaicasa Lane. Venegas, 24, was the passenger and reportedly made “furtive movements” toward the rear of the vehicle, prompting a search.

Inside, deputies said they found a Chase debit card bearing Venegas’s name and a cut straw, both testing positive for fentanyl. A gray bag in the car contained a Zolpidem pill and additional fentanyl residue.

Venegas now faces possession of drug paraphernalia and remains in custody at Collier County Jail, with arraignment set for January 21, 2026.
