Middle Township stayed unbeaten with a steady, well‑rounded effort, topping Holy Cross Prep 5–1 at the At Bat for Autism Awareness event at Holy Spirit to move to 4–0 on the season.
Kahlan Schaffer led the way at the plate, collecting three hits and driving in a run as the Panthers built their lead with scoring innings in the second, third, fifth, and sixth. Dakota Laughlin added two hits, including a triple, and drove in two more to help fuel the offense.
Holy Cross, now 1–6, was held to just three hits, though Alana McCormick turned in a strong day with two singles and a run scored. Jayla Bullock added an RBI double in the sixth to produce the Lancers’ lone run of the afternoon.
Middle Township’s lineup produced eight hits overall, with Charlotte Romberger contributing a pair of singles and an RBI. The Panthers also executed well situationally, laying down two sacrifice bunts to help extend innings and keep pressure on the defense.
In the circle, Katie Creamer was in full command for Middle Township. She threw a complete game, allowing only one run on three hits while striking out four and walking just one. Her efficiency kept Holy Cross from mounting any sustained threat.
