A 48-year-old man is facing charges related to drug trafficking and possession of an illegal firearm, according to police.


WATERVILLE, Maine — The Waterville Police Department arrested a 48-year-old man and seized more than 16 pounds of meth following a month-long drug investigation.
Police executed several search warrants on Dec. 30, leading to the seizure of over 16 pounds of meth, worth over $100,000, and an illegal gun, according to a news release from police.
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Winslow police, and Fairfield police were also involved in the searches.
Police arrested and charged Andrew Symonevich of Waterville with aggravated trafficking in Class A drugs and illegal possession of a firearm, police said.
The investigation is ongoing, and Symonevich could face more charges, according to police.
