GAFFNEY, S.C. (WSPA) — Police shut down a smoke shop in Gaffney on Wednesday, after police said they determined the business was operating without a proper license.
Officers with the Gaffney Police Department said they were called to Gaffney Smoke Shop on West Floyd Baker Boulevard around 1 p.m.
While shutting down the store and arresting the business attendant for operating without a business license, investigators said substances believed to be narcotics were seen in “plain view.”
After getting a search warrant authorized by a judge, police officers searched the store and found marijuana, both real and counterfeit money, and packing materials for narcotics. The store attendant was subsequently charged with narcotics-related offenses.
Police did not name the suspect arrested in connection to the smoke shop.
