INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the disappearance of a 16-year-old autistic boy missing from the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis.

Robert “RJ” Williams Jr. was described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 185 pounds, has black hair with brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a gray coat, blue sweatpants, and black tennis shoes.

Williams was last seen on Wednesday in the 1000 block of Broad Ripple Avenue. That’s east of Winthrop Avenue, at the Monon Trail crossing, and along the White River.

IMPD shared in an update on Monday that detectives on Thursday found Williams’ backpack and gym bag on a dock along the White River.

The search on ground and on water continued over the weekend, but no further evidence was found.

Williams is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.

Investigators ask that anyone with information on Williams Jr. contact the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department at 317-327-6160 or 911.
