— Two men have been charged after deputies found meth during a traffic stop on Christmas Eve, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.
On December 24, deputies patrolling Connelly Springs Road conducted a traffic stop for a routine traffic violation. During the stop, deputies found 7.3 grams of methamphetamine and digital scales.
While at the magistrate’s office, deputies found an additional 112.1 grams of meth near one of the suspects, officials said.

50-year-old Jonathan Wayne Loven and 52-year-old Rodney Dale Gragg were both placed under $500,000 bonds for two counts of trafficking methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for controlled substances.
Deputeis said Loven was also charged with contempt of court, and served an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on a felony charge.
The estimated value of the meth seized is over $17,000. “Our deputies remain committed to protecting our community every day, including holidays,” Sheriff Kevin Bean said.
