
WATERVILLE (WGME) – The Waterville Police Department has confiscated over 16 pounds of methamphetamine and an illegal firearm after a month-long drug investigation.
At approximately 4 p.m. on December 30, 2025, Waterville police and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency executed several search warrants leading up to the seizure of over 16 pounds of methamphetamine (with a street value of over $100,000) and an illegal firearm.
Andrew Symonevich, 48, of Waterville, was taken into custody without incident and was charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule Drugs (Class A) and Illegal Possession of a Firearm (Class B). Symonevich’s bail is set at $35,000, with an initial court date set for February 23.
This investigation is still active, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
