*Teddy Riley appears to have revealed upcoming music from R. Kelly featuring a remix of Chris Brown’s recent hit “It Depends.”

According to Complex, Riley shared audio of Kelly performing over a phone call. Kelly’s label, Rockland Records, initially posted the track on Instagram on January 8. Brown responded to the post using fire emojis.

Riley’s caption suggested additional unreleased material is coming from the imprisoned singer. “Still the King of R&B Bar None!!!! Can’t wait for yall to hear the new music!!! Til then teaser missiles will be dropping!!! It’s about that time for real music!!! #legendary #letsgo,” Riley wrote.

When Kelly appeared on the Inmate Tea with A&P podcast last year, he claimed to have composed 25 albums during his incarceration.

“Well, singing is a beautiful disease that’s incurable,” he said at the time. “That’s not gonna happen, stop singing. I don’t care where I’m at. I’m always singing, I’m always writing. I’ve written, like, 25 albums since I been in here, and right now I’m just working on getting out…I’m using patience as a tactic right now.”

R. Kelly is currently serving a 30-year prison term after a Brooklyn jury convicted him in 2022 on charges of racketeering and sex trafficking. In a separate federal case in Chicago, he was found guilty on three counts of producing child pornography and three counts of enticing a minor into sexual activity, resulting in an additional 20-year sentence.
