In October of last year, Vergara was spotted out to dinner in Beverly Hills with a handsome companion, Dr. Justin Saliman, an orthopedic surgeon. Sporting a black corset and purple suede pants, Vergara kept quiet about the outing, leaving fans to speculate about the nature of their relationship.
Dr. Saliman, a Stanford sports medicine graduate who later obtained his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, practices at the renowned Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
Not only is he a skilled surgeon, but he is also an inventor, credited with developing the NovoStitch Pro Meniscal Repair System, which was acquired by medical technology giant Smith & Nephew for $105 million in 2019.

Fast forward five months, and Vergara took to her Instagram story to share a heartfelt post, revealing that she had undergone major knee surgery and expressing her love for Dr. Saliman. Alongside a picture of Dr. Saliman by her bedside, Vergara wrote, “If u ever get a [major] knee surgery make sure u Get a handsome doctor who will sleep with u that night!!!! Luv u Dr @jdsaliman.”
